On Saturday, a massive action in support of the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine took place in the Cypriot city of Limassol.
The event was held with the approval of the municipalities of the cities of Larnaca and Limassol, reports TASS. The organizer was the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots of Cyprus with the support of social organizations and activists of the island. From Larnaca, a convoy of cars bearing the flags of Russia, Cyprus and Greece headed west.
The column then reached the formal suburb of Kato Polemidia, where the rally was held. Hundreds of people took part in it, holding banners with the slogans «Let’s stop neo-Nazism together with Russia!», «No NATO in Ukraine and Cyprus!», «Russia is telling the truth!» and other. The protesters also unfolded a 50-meter banner with the image of a three-color Russian. Protesters noted that «Russia is destroying the hotbed of militant neo-Nazism, which grew in the very center of Europe with the quiet approval of the West,» and that it «fights not against Ukraine, but against evil, against forbidden terrorist organizations.» in Russia and many other countries that are destroying the Russians ”and everything related to them.
As noted by the Coordination Council of the Russian Compatriots of Cyprus, «despite numerous provocations from the Ukrainian diaspora, the action ran smoothly and gained the support of a wide group of Cypriots.»
