The action of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Chechen Republic is aimed at improving the culture of child safety.
«As part of the campaign, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will teach schoolchildren the correct procedure to deal with in various crisis situations,» said Timur Taysumov, head of the press service of the region’s emergency department.
Participants of the action will be informed about the dangers in summer and about how to protect against them.
«Children will be reminded of the basic rules of safe behavior on the street, at home, in nature, by the water» — emphasized Timur Taysumov.
The inaugural event was held with students from Grozny. Children learned about the rules of fire safety when using gas and electric appliances in everyday life. Children were shown a modern fire engine that supports rescue workers. Those who wanted could try on firefighter’s combat clothes, sit in the cabin of the car and, of course, take unforgettable photos.
“The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations plan to organize dozens of events in all regions of the Chechen Republic. The action will end symbolically on June 1 — International Children’s Day — summed up Timur Taysumov.
