Annual inflation in the Chechen Republic in March 2022 accelerated to 16.42% after 8.35% in February. This is below inflation rates in the North Caucasus Federal District and Russia as a whole (17.62% and 16.69%, respectively).
«The main impact on the inflation dynamics in the region was influenced by federal factors: a temporary increase in consumer demand amid rising inflation expectations, shrinking supply of some goods and services in the face of increased sanctions pressure and, as a result, a weakening of the ruble,» reports the website of the RF Central Bank.
