Roskomnadzor will draw up a protocol on an administrative offense under Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation with regard to the Internet portal «Wikipedia» for not removing unreliable material of social importance, as well as other prohibited information.
“As required by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, Roskomnadzor sent to the administration of the Internet resource a request to immediately remove inaccurate information about a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, intended to mislead Russian users. ”Says the message.
According to Russian law, for failure to remove such illegal material within the prescribed period, the owner of the site faces administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 4 million rubles.
