We have built such a seamless system, so from May 1 it will be [для нуждающихся семей с детьми] from three to 17 years, «said Batalina.
She added that families with children from zero to three years of age and pregnant women also receive support measures, but for now on different terms and with different requirements.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on monthly cash payments to families with children aged 8 to 17. Payment applications will be accepted from May 1, but the payment will also be booked for April.
Currently, there are several types of federal child payments for low-income families in Russia. A measure similar to the new benefit for children aged three to seven was introduced in 2020. Also families with children up to three years of age under the nationwide project «Demographics» may receive benefits in the amount of the regional minimum subsistence per child. Another support measure was introduced last year — a payment for self-raising parents between the ages of 8 and 17, reports TASS.
