В РФ продлят на 3 года срок действия для заканчивающихся водительских удостоверений

The validity of driving licenses of Russian citizens whose term is expiring will be extended by three years. This was said by Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the presidium of the government commission to increase the stability of the Russian economy in the face of sanctions.

The head of the cabinet noted that one of the resolutions he signed «is aimed at reducing administrative burdens for entrepreneurs and citizens».

«It extends the validity of Russia’s national driving licenses — the ones due for replacement in the next two years, by three years,» said Mishustin.

As explained in the press service of the Council of Ministers, the measure will affect documents that expire from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023, or around 5 million driving licenses. They will be automatically renewed.

«The decree expands the list of automatic renewal authorization schemes,» the government said.

«In addition to driving licenses, this applies to diagnostic cards.» For vehicles registered in the High North and intended for the transport of dangerous goods, the validity of such cards will be extended by 12 months. According to preliminary estimates, the measure will affect around 600 organizations.

Moreover, the resolution supplements the list of permits, the validity of which is automatically extended by 12 months. Among them there are separate sanitary and epidemiological applications, certificates of state registration of breeding herds. As explained in the Cabinet, «the decision will reduce the burden on citizens, entrepreneurs and organizations, it will reduce the costs associated with going through licensing procedures, which is extremely important in the current economic climate.»

“Reducing the administrative burden on citizens and businesses is a consistent work of the government. Such actions proved their worth during the coronavirus pandemic, and now they are showing their effectiveness. Under the present conditions, we are trying to save our citizens and businesses from unnecessary worries, so that they can focus on their priority issues, «quotes the press service of the deputy prime minister — head of the Government Staff Dmitry Grigorenko.
