This year, large-scale works on bringing roads leading to popular places and tourist attractions to a standard condition will be continued in the regions participating in the nationwide project «Safe high-quality roads».
“In the three years of its existence, the national project, Safe High-Quality Roads, has made a huge contribution to the development of domestic tourism. Many tourist destinations have become more accessible, now they can be reached faster and more conveniently. In the regions, more than 800 street and road network objects leading to local attractions have been brought to the normative level. Their total length is over 4,000 km, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
These works will be continued in the new road season. The action program for the national project covered 345 sections of highways and streets.
In the Chechen Republic, as part of the national project, work is already underway on the reconstruction of the tour of the village of Germenchuk. In the first kilometer of the tour there is an open-air museum — the ethnographic village «Shira-kotar» (translated — «old farm»), which depicts the ancient life of the Vainakhs. The complex consists of 40 medieval Caucasian residential houses — «sakleys» located on three streets, a forge, mill, mosque and other buildings typical of a Chechen village from the 18th century, as well as old household items and utensils. The central building is the Vainakh stone watchtower with a height of 23 meters.
Also along this road is the tourist route to the Kezenoy-Am sports and tourist complex, the «Khoi» historical and architectural complex. The reconstruction of this road will contribute to a more comfortable and safer drive of vehicles to the tourist attractions of the Viennese poviat, bypassing the settlement.
