The relevant order was signed today by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Valery Falkov.

In line with the recommendation of the President of the Russian Federation to involve the regions more actively in the implementation of science and technology policy, the Ministry is launching a pilot planning project by scientific organizations and universities subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and are participants in world-class research and education centers of new basic research topics by 2023 r. through the Unified State Information accounting system for research and development and technological work for civil purposes.
«This means that new basic research topics will be shaped by scientific and educational organizations taking into account the development priorities of the sanctioned regional economies and will be considered by governors before being sent for examination to the Russian Academy of Sciences,» said Valery Falkov.
