“Now citizens who have lost their jobs or are at risk of redundancy will be able to join the free retraining program under the national Demography project. You can apply on the Jobs of Russia portal, ”said the minister.
Training will take place in occupations that are in demand on local labor markets. «At the beginning of the training, the employee concludes a contract with the future employer and educational organization, if he plans to work on commission, or only with an educational organization, if he plans to open his own business» — added the press service. . “In total, over 24,000 educational programs are available for applicants. The duration of the courses, depending on the field of study, will be from three weeks to three months. Taking into account the fact that the contract with the future employer is concluded at the beginning of the training, the program will ensure the most effective transition from work to work for citizens who are at risk of dismissal today, ”quotes the press service in the words of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Anton Kotyakov.
Previously, applications for training were already open to citizens aged 50 and over, citizens of pre-retirement age, women on maternity leave with a child under 3, non-working mothers with children under the age of 7, as well as some categories of youth under the age of 35 years. So far, over 30,000 reclassification applications have been submitted.
Education as part of the nationwide project «Demographics» is free. The programs were selected by three federal operators — the WorldSkills Russia agency, Tomski State University and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation. The federal retraining program is a complement to, not a replacement for, regional programs. Citizen retraining programs at the subject level will be implemented in the same way as in previous years.
