Sberbank lowered the ruble deposit rate to 16%. It is noted that the decision was made in the context of adjusting to the market situation.
The organization will automatically change the rates for customers who are approved under the same conditions. The rates for preferential programs remained unchanged.
«Small changes also affected the interest rate on deposits, which still remain quite profitable for our clients,» said Sergei Shyokov, director of the Loan and Save department at Sberbank.
Note that customers can get the best rate if they sign up for an annual subscription to the bank’s services under the SberPrime + program and set up an online deposit for up to three months. When setting up a deposit for up to six months, the maximum rate will be 14%, for a year — 12%.
The bank’s decision was due to the fact that on April 8, the Central Bank lowered the base rate from 20% to 17% per annum. The next meeting at which the key stake will be discussed is scheduled for April 29.
