Transfers in rubles are available as usual, the press service of the TASS bank said.
The bank pointed out that due to the entry into force of sanctions on foreign exchange transactions with correspondent accounts in foreign banks, from April 7 it is not possible to make a transfer in a foreign currency abroad. The ban applies to transfers in the Sberbank Online mobile application and in bank branches.
Transfers made from April 6 will be returned to the client’s account in full with the commission. The bank also emphasized that transfers abroad in the bank’s branches in rubles are available to residents in the usual manner without restrictions.
At the same time, the press service of the credit institution explained that more than 90% of all transfers in Sberbank abroad are transfers in rubles to neighboring countries.
