The bailiffs of the Gudermes regional branch of the ZPPSP of Russia for the benefit of the Chechen Republic collected a fine from a resident of the Chechen Republic who illegally held the drug.
The man was detained by law enforcement officers on a passenger train «Moscow — Grozny» during a personal search. According to the press service of the department, «considerable amounts of intoxicating substances have been found in his travel bag.»
The City Court in Gudermes of the Chechen Republic found the man guilty of the crime under Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Illegal extraction, storage, transport, production, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues as illegal extraction, storage, transport of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.
The convicted person was fined 25,000 rubles. As part of the enforcement proceedings, the bailiff warned the debtor that if the court’s judgment is not enforced within the prescribed period, the service representative has the right to apply to the court to replace the fine with a different type of penalty, up to imprisonment. After being explained, the debtor voluntarily paid the fine imposed by the court in full.
