The system assumes the provision of assistance under the same conditions throughout the entire period, said Olga Batalina, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation at a meeting of the Federation Council.
«There is a recommendation from the president that the system (support) should be the same, purposeful and trouble-free — from pregnancy to the age of 18. We will gradually complete this system. Conditions for the family, if it needs such support, regardless of the age of the child, smoothly moves to the next stage — conditions do not change, rules do not change, family composition requirements do not change, income sources do not change — this is what we are doing now, so from May 1 it will be (for families with children in need) from three to 17 years old — said Batalina.
She added that families with children from zero to three years of age and pregnant women also receive support measures, but for now on different terms and with different requirements.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on monthly cash payments to families with children aged 8 to 17. Payment applications will be accepted from May 1, but the payment will also be booked for April.
