Resolution of the debt repayment procedure for 2021. WECM suppliers in the North Caucasus were allowed to exclude the blocking of the operational activities of the companies «Rosseti North Caucasus» and «Chechenenergo» in the case of compensation claims, as a result of which there is a risk to the reliable operation of the macroregion’s network complex.
The parties also agreed on a settlement mechanism for subsequent periods to prevent new debts and future payments from the underwriting suppliers of the North Caucasian Federal District under the control of the Rosseti Group of ongoing obligations towards WECM suppliers.
The contracts were preceded by long, systematic work with the participation of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, associations «Energy Producers Council» and «PN Rada Rynku», PJSC «Rosseti», organizations and suppliers of WECM.
Recall that the main reason for underpayments in WECM was the traditionally low level of payment discipline of electricity consumers on the retail market of the group of housing and communal services and utility service providers in individual regions, as well as the extremely high level of network losses in individual entities of the North Caucasian Federal District.
The program of settlements of settlements at WECM was developed as part of the order of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Aleksander Nowak.
