The Ministry of Digitization spoke about the conditions for checking IT companies by the regional Federal Tax Service.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development, the regional department of the Federal Tax Service will only be able to control IT companies with the approval of the interregional department.
In March, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that IT companies would be exempt from income tax for three years and that a moratorium on inspections would be imposed on them.
«If the regional branch of the Federal Tax Service wants to come to the company for inspection, it should direct its application to the interregional Federal Tax Service, where it will examine the validity of such a decision,» the report reads.
Mintsifra indicated that if the tax authorities started to inspect the company before the publication of the explanatory document, they have the right to supplement it, RIA Novosti informs.
The moratorium on inspections of IT companies will apply until March 3, 2025 inclusive — the ministry explained.
