The State Duma gathered spiritual leaders, representatives of all traditional Russian denominations — Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists — representatives of religious associations from various areas of Russia, as well as from the Luhansk People’s Republic.
Participants took part in a roundtable organized by the Committee on Civil Society Development, Affairs of Public and Religious Associations. The topic of the forum was: «Traditional world religions versus the ideology of Nazism and fascism in the 21st century.» In the light of recent events in Ukraine, this topic reflected the importance of the rejection of misanthropic ideology and the need for unity and consent of our country’s citizens.
The forum was attended by the adviser to the head of the Chechen Mufti Republic of the Chechen Republic, Salah-Khadzhi Mezhiev. In his speech, he emphasized the unacceptability of the doctrine of Nazism from the point of view of Islam. Sheikh Salah-Hadji urged clergy not to «sit on the fence and look around», but to take a clear position on the condemnation of Nazism and the fight against it during a special military operation in Ukraine. Speaking about what happened in our republic during the war years, the mufti of the Chechen Republic Salah-Khadji Mezhiev noted the great merit of the First President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov (Dala g1azot kobaldoyla tsunan) in the fight against international terrorism and the unity of people abandoned by former, the so-called leaders. In our time, the path of Akhmat-Khadzhi is successfully embodied by his son, Ramzan-Khadzhi Kadyrov, who strengthened the foundations of the peaceful existence of our republic, he emphasized.
The main line of the clergy’s speeches was a categorical rejection of the ideas of Nazism and fascism. In particular, the fact that the ideology of Nazism «raised its head» in Ukraine.
As you know, the civil war in Ukraine has been going on for 8 years. And this issue received special attention from the public. Nazis of all stripes turned this republic into a bastion of anti-Russian policy and conducted aggressive work against our country. The fact that it was unbearable was already noticed by forum participants.
The forum said, all as one, without distinction by nationality or religion: «No!» Nazism and Fascism. It was therefore important that representatives of the various faiths spoke clearly on this matter.
“In the system of counteracting the ideology of Nazism and fascism, an important role is played by world religions whose spiritual and moral potential is an alternative to the ideology of Nazism and fascism. Only by joining our efforts can we together fight back this evil of the 21st century, actively imposed from outside. We have to rely on it, we have to use it, ”said the Moscow mufti, chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Albir Krganov.
Tatiana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, appealed to the participants of the round table: “I urge all of us not to be silent even for a moment and to continue to appeal to the world community. Despite the destruction of the global human rights system, we will continue to look for those people who still believe in the good. «
All the spiritual leaders of religious organizations, Orthodox priests and religious, representatives of several muftiats from various regions of Russia took the floor. The participants agreed that the fight against evil was on the way, and all religions of Russia are in favor of peace, humanity, goodness and cannot come to terms with the ideas of Nazism and Satanism.
Forum participants expressed their support for the ongoing special operation for denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. They took the initiative to ask the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to organize an anti-fascist conference in Russia. A common opinion was also expressed to jointly appeal to the UN Secretary General with an appeal for the elimination of discrimination against Russian-speaking people in the world, not to forget about the bloody traces of fascism in the world and to prevent the falsification of the effects of World War II.
