The government will simplify and speed up the procedure for registering foreign drugs, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
«It is obvious that for some items our own production has not been created or the quantity of products is insufficient. We still import some of them from abroad. It was decided to speed up and simplify the procedures of state registration of drugs which are not sufficient in our country» — said the meeting with the deputy prime ministers.
The head of government added that it will now be possible to import and sell registered drugs in packages originally intended for sale abroad, Miszustin said.
— As a result, it will be possible to introduce drugs to the market faster, so that they are available to our citizens — added the Prime Minister.
Such a move is to prevent possible drug supply difficulties that may arise as a result of external pressures and disruptions in supply chains.
In addition, the government will launch a special support program for key pharmaceutical and medical companies, as well as drug distributors and pharmacy chains — they will be able to receive independent bank guarantees with a preferential commission rate.
“For businesses, it will be one percent. And the banks will be compensated up to two percent, ”said Mishustin.
According to him, the relevant application has already been signed. Thus, if the companies cannot pay their contracts under any circumstances, the supplier will receive funds from the bank.
