“Today we see the country’s incredible unity around our President Putin. In response to all the attempts to put pressure on the information, economic, psychological and humanitarian side of the West, the Russian people united. Society has been consolidated. There has been no such unity for a long time, ”wrote Ramzan Kadyrov.
According to him, all the leading sociological structures in Russia determine Putin’s highest rating (election and trust) and his support by citizens. When asked directly about trust in Vladimir Putin, 81.0% of Russians polled answered positively, and 79% approved of his work as president of the Russian Federation. The numbers of approval for Putin’s actions as head of state exceed his support in the elections three years ago — in March 2018.
The head of the region noted that this was facilitated by the decisions made by the president over the last month and a half, starting with the recognition of the LPR and DNR, conducting a special military operation in Ukraine, and ending with targeted socio-economic instructions for the government. As well as the president’s statements and proposals to counteract the sanctions imposed by the West, which has long turned into a full-scale economic war with Russia.
“We are proud that we are restoring justice in the Donbas, we are fighting Nazism, that we are defending our values and that there is no economic or military force to stop us from doing so. This has already become obvious to all citizens of our country, added Kadyrov.
He recalled that this is not the first time that the Russians have united around Putin, it was at the very beginning in 2000, when hordes of terrorists invaded Russia, it was during the Crimean Spring eight years ago, and then when Russia was hit by an avalanche of sanctions, this is what is happening now. And the citizens repeatedly support the president’s decisions in the most difficult times for Russia.
According to VTsIOM data, Russian society is in solidarity: 76% of the population believe the decision to conduct a military operation is right, 89% of citizens trust the Russian army (poll on March 30-31).
“The West has made a mistake in us once again. Many Western experts already recognize the unprecedented fact of Russia’s consolidation. None of their attempts to divide society, betray the elite, or protest was justified. All efforts with information and sanctions are in vain. Only now do they realize what the Russian nation is like, which in extreme moments only becomes stronger and goes to victory together with the president. They did not believe historical examples (in the most difficult times, the Russians always gathered around a strong and independent leader, be it Alexander Nevsky, who called under the banner of the fight against the Order of the Knights of the Sword, or the unification of all strata and states around Alexander I in the fight against Napoleon) — now they feel it’s «the hard way» — summed up the head of the Chechen Republic.
