The Council of Ministers informs about it.
«The government will provide citizens with the possibility of reimbursement of tickets for flights that have been canceled due to external restrictions, as well as due to the closure of airports in the south and central part of Russia,» the press release reads.
As stated, the money will be transferred to the airlines, which in turn will return it to citizens against the cost of the tickets. State support will allow carriers to save their own working capital, which means that they will have the financial means to ensure flight safety and maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft.
«Mikhail Mishustin also signed an order to spend more than 1.5 billion rubles to compensate the operating costs of airports in the southern and central regions of Russia,» the report reads. As noted, the decisions taken are part of the priority action plan to ensure the development of the Russian economy in the face of the pressure of external sanctions, reports RIA Novosti.
