“The additional 2.5 billion rubles of subsidies for bakery enterprises have been transferred in full to the subjects of the Russian Federation. Relevant agreements have been signed by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture with 80 regions where bread is produced, ”reads the report.
As recalled in the Ministry of Agriculture, the decision to implement this measure was taken by the government in order to maintain a stable situation on the market of socially significant products, taking into account the positive experiences of the past year. “In 2021, this mechanism proved its effectiveness and high demand — the allocated money was fully selected. The support allowed to minimize the rise in bread prices, despite the significant increase in the cost of its production, and to keep the dynamics below the food inflation rate, ”the ministry explained. They also recalled that this year the amount of aid for enterprises was increased from 2 to 2.5 thousand. rubles per ton of products.
At the same time, taking into account the current economic situation and manufacturers’ demands, the ministry proposed to ease the requirements for subsidy recipients in terms of the lack of tax arrears and employee salaries. A relevant resolution providing for the possibility of such indebtedness in the amount of up to PLN 300 thousand. rubles was made on April 5, 2022. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this decision will increase the number of enterprises that can benefit from state support, incl. in the bakery sector.
Additionally, in order to reach final recipients faster from federal and regional budgets, the selection time for granting grants has been shortened from 30 to 10 calendar days, informs TASS.
