Over 500 volunteers took part in the eco-campaign. The organizers were the federal party project «United Russia» «Russian Village» and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Chechen Republic.
According to Ilyas Istamulov, deputy head of the Regional Executive Committee of the Chechen branch of United Russia for project activities, 2,000 ash seedlings and 1,000 young cedar trees were planted in the regions of the republic — thus the region took part in all- Russian campaign «Cedars of Russia», aimed at planting valuable tree species in the forests of Russian regions, including forests where intensive deforestation was carried out.
«The locations for land development are very different — they are park areas and sites of socially significant institutions — schools, kindergartens, clinics, etc. Eco-actions are organized annually — it is a big task to restore urban forests and green areas in rural settlements» — he said Ilyas Istamulov.
Over 500 volunteers from all over the region took part in the tree planting, including members of various levels from United Russia, employees of district forest inspectorates, party supporters and activists of United Russia’s Young Guard.
The key areas of work of the federal party of the «Russian Village» project are: creating a favorable business climate for small enterprises in rural areas by eliminating excessive administrative barriers and increasing the availability of preferential loans, land resources and outlets for products for farmers; creating comfortable living conditions in rural areas by building cheap and high-quality housing, ensuring employment conditions for the rural population, developing social and engineering infrastructure; raising the prestige and social status of peasant labor.
