The artificial structure will be built as part of the construction of the third stage of the Gudermes bypass on the R-217 Kavkaz motorway. 150 road workers and 70 units of special equipment are involved in the facility.
Under Akhmat-Yurt, the bridge builders erected seven supports of the viaduct up to 15.5 m high, laid almost 170 driven piles to a depth of up to 13 m. Crossbars are installed — load-bearing structures that evenly distribute the load on the supporting poles. The length of the single-lane structure will be 250 m, and the roadway width will be 7.5 m. Please note that a technological driveway will be constructed to operate the viaduct. As part of this junction, work is also underway on a 30-meter viaduct: supports and cross-members have been installed for the further assembly of the span structure. The width of the road of the five-lane structure will be 26 m.
In order to strengthen the slopes and prevent it from collapsing, a 200-meter-high, 3.5-meter-high reinforced concrete wall will be built next to the viaduct. At the same time, the pavement construction is actively underway along a distance of 5.5 km. Over 1 million cubic meters of soil were used to build the track bed. In order to comply with the standards for the longitudinal inclination of the road along the Novgorodian Ridge, the height of the embankment and ditches is up to 25 m. To avoid subsidence, each layer of the embankment is carefully compacted and reinforced with a geogrid. The substrate is made of a mixture of sand and gravel with the addition of cement.
Electric lighting lines will be installed on all artificial structures, and oncoming traffic flows will be separated by an axial parapet fence. In addition, they will install edge fencing, road signs and guidance devices, as well as carry thermoplastic markings.

It is also noted that after the facility is commissioned in 2024, the total length of the R-217 Kavkaz motorway bypassing Gudermes will be 36 km. In 2015, traffic was launched on the 15-kilometer section of the 1st stage, and at the end of 2019, the works on the 12-kilometer section of the 2nd stage were completed. The facility was included in the federal project «Development of the federal trunk network» of the national project «Safe high-quality roads».
