SuperJob: Грозненцы поддерживают идею полного запрета электронных сигарет в России

According to SuperJob, a well-paid job search service, two out of three Grozny residents support the idea of a complete ban on electronic cigarettes in Russia.

The chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, instructed the relevant committees to submit a proposal for a complete ban on vaping in the country. The initiative is supported by the majority of non-smokers and regular smokers. Professionally active residents of the city took part in a SuperJob survey in search of high-paying jobs.

The ban on electronic cigarettes in Russia is supported by 69% of Grozny residents, 13% are against it. The initiative of parliamentarians is primarily aimed at protecting the health of the young generation. Respondents aged 35 to 44 (74%) were more likely than others to support the idea of banning vaping.

The proposal to ban the sale of e-cigarettes is supported by 74% of non-smokers and 65% of regular smokers. The initiative, as expected, did not find support among e-cigarette users: 46% were against, one in three abstained, and only 21% were in favour.

According to specialized studies, vaping raises blood pressure, causes endothelial dysfunction and increases the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. The condition, dubbed «e-cigarette-associated lung injury» (EVALI), was reported in the United States in June 2019, and the number of cases increased significantly over the next three months.
