Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation of the Chechen Republic in a special boarding school for deaf and hard-of-hearing children in Grozny conducted a lesson aimed at improving the safety culture of children.
The preventive event was held as part of the program of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia «Security is available to everyone.»
With the help of a sign language interpreter, rescue specialists told the children about the main threats in winter and how to protect against them.
The students of the boarding school got acquainted with the main causes of fires in the housing sector and the danger of going out on thin ice.
The boys were taught the algorithm for dealing with emergencies, and they were shown how to properly use basic firefighting equipment.
Students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. They were told about the combative everyday life of duty rescue and firefighting units. The guests presented the children with firefighting suits, respiratory protection and eye protection. Volunteers could try on a fireman’s uniform and take commemorative photos.
