SberNPF has developed a new corporate HR program for the Russian market — Smart Benefit Package. It allows the employer to create a special financial reserve for employees using the tax incentive mechanism.
In the scheme, the employer may specify the amount of contributions that he plans to deduct monthly or annually for the benefit of the employee — e.g. 5-7% of his salary or more. The company also determines the period after which the employee has the right to access his financial reserve. As a rule, such a period is on average 5-7 years, which motivates an employee to work for a long time in one enterprise.
At the beginning of 2022, we launched a pilot program for small and medium-sized enterprises. The ‘smart social package’ turned out to be in great demand: we received around 50 applications in three months. The program has become particularly important for companies operating in small towns, where there is a need to prevent employees from relocating to megacities. Today we decided to scale the program’s capabilities to new segments, including those within large companies.

Savings in the «Smart Social Package» are increasing annually thanks to the investment income that is accrued by the SberNPF. At the same time, the invested funds, in accordance with the terms of the program, are fully preserved at each level of market profitability. An employee can send funds for various purposes — for example, for an advance on a mortgage, building a country house, paying for children’s education, treating critical illnesses or paying a retirement pension. In this way, the enterprise can replace the expensive and ineffective elements of the existing social package.
The possibility of saving a large sum for several years remains an important impetus when choosing an employer. Today, companies from the south are looking for new solutions to attract highly qualified or rare specialists to their regional teams, and to strengthen or optimize the social package. We are already seeing great interest in the Intelligent Social Package among agro-industrial companies and large commercial, port, hotel and restaurant companies in the south of Russia and in the North Caucasus.
