On Monday, May 9, Victory Day, Rutube was subjected to «the most powerful cyber attack» in video hosting history, TASS press service said. Rutube’s technical experts confirmed that third parties did not have access to the video archive. The entire library with user content is still saved on the site, the source code is also intact.
The attack affected more than 75% of databases and the major version infrastructure as well as 90% of backups and database recovery clusters, explained the Rutube press service.
