Rostrud reminded that on February 23, Russia celebrates Defender of the Fatherland Day. The event falls on a Thursday, and on Friday, February 24, the day off is shifted from Sunday, January 1. Thus, employees working in a five-day week will go away for the long weekend from February 23 to 26. However, for employees in the six-day week, Saturday February 25 is a working day.
