РФ остановила поставки газа в Финляндию

Gazprom has stopped exporting gas to Finland, Reuters reports, citing the Finnish operator Gasgrid. This was confirmed by the state-owned gas company Gasum. The Russian company announced that deliveries will stop today, May 21, from 7:00 am.

Finland refused to comply with Russia’s demand to pay for gas by converting foreign currency to rubles by Gazprombank. Earlier, Bulgaria and Poland were cut off from supplies, which also did not meet Moscow’s demands.

Russia has been supplying gas to Finland for almost 50 years. Gasum announced that in the summer it intends to supply Finnish customers with the Balticconnector gas pipeline, which connects the gas transmission systems of Finland and Estonia at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland.
