The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, emphasized the importance of maintaining the pace of development of the transport infrastructure. The authorities allocated an additional 120 billion rubles for these purposes. About it reports RIA Novosti.
Mishustin recalled that a record number of roads had been renovated by the end of 2021 and it was necessary to maintain the pace of construction.
«On behalf of the president, we have allocated an additional 120 billion rubles for the rapid development of road infrastructure. Of these, 63 regions of the Russian Federation will receive the majority — 86 billion and will use them primarily to bring in more than 2.5 thousand kilometers of regional roads,» said Mishustin.
According to him, another 34 billion rubles are allocated to the construction, reconstruction and renovation of major highways, including the Golden Ring, as well as on the Europe-West China route, which will pass through Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Novosibirsk to the border with Mongolia and China.
In addition, the prime minister said that the funds would also be allocated to the further construction of facilities influencing the development of regions, including bypassing large cities (this will allow for the removal of freight traffic from housing estates, unloading traffic jams), and the construction of railway crossings.
