The chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, instructed deputies to establish a working group for the development of children’s and family recreation in Russia, headed by Nina Ostanina, chairman of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children.
«Let’s create a working group with the State Duma and the relevant committee, let’s submit a proposal to the legislation on children’s holidays, family holidays, so that all this is reflected in the norms of law, and then it will be easier for you (Rosturistics) to work, this is your support,» he said Volodin during the «government hour» of the head of the Federal Tourist Agency Zarina Doguzova in the State Duma.
The deputy noted that the working group should be headed by the chairman of the relevant committee and representatives of the Audit Chamber.
“Our entire tourism industry is ours, it is not geared to that. Because it is troublesome. And they follow a path where they can get more profit, where it is cheaper and easier. Therefore, those who come with children, there are no conditions for them, we are talking about family holidays, there should be discounts, there should be support measures — he added.
Also the chairman of the State Duma noted the high cost of a vacation in Russia. «Listen, we are talking about our domestic tourism, it is multifaceted. Not only from the position that you can see any territory, but we do not get there, because again the cost. But if we are talking about family vacations, it is problematic for the same reason and not has conditions, and we need to create these conditions, ”summed up Volodin, reports RIA Novosti.
