State Duma deputy chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, Boris Chernyshov, told RIA Novosti that he was proposing to introduce a visa-free regime for foreign scientists entering Russia to work in research institutes and universities.
The US administration has decided to «deprive» Russian leader Vladimir Putin of «some of his best innovators» by relaxing visa requirements for leading scientists who want to come to the US, reports Bloomberg. It should be noted that if the law is passed, Russians with a master’s or doctoral degree will be allowed to enter the United States on a simplified scheme.
“The United States creates the most convenient visa regime for Russian scientists to travel for them. I propose (create an entry system) that researchers and people involved in (new) technologies, the development of these issues, invite all these people to Russia without visas, to work for the good of our country, «Chernyshov said.
The MP believes it is right to facilitate the entry of foreign scientists to work at Russian universities and research institutes, reports RIA Novosti.
