The social campaign «Cozy House» was organized as part of the federal project of the «Older Generation» party, in which representatives of «United Russia», party supporters and volunteers took part.
Activists collected last year’s leaves, whitewashed trees, planted flowers and seedlings of pear, apple and plum trees. The boarding school pupils also received fruit and sweet pastries from the Chechen branch of United Russia.
The action is dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory and aims to support the older generation, all possible help for the elderly who particularly need attention and targeted help — say the organizers.
The development of a system of activities supporting the older generation has become a priority in the implementation of the project of the Older Generation party in 2022. The project promotes the development of voluntary activities and increasing the participation of volunteers in providing social services to the population. Laws on volunteering and charity activities were adopted, interministerial programs for the development of volunteering were approved, and internet resources popularizing volunteering were created.
“The extension of volunteer assistance programs is one of the points of the United Russia people’s program and the constant direction of the project of the Older Generation party. The «Cozy Home» campaign is not a one-off event, such events should and should be held systematically. That is why we are always happy to see caring people among volunteers ready to participate in voluntary service. Older people should be visited as often as possible, as they need human communication and attention very much, ”said the deputy director of the Department of Social Welfare for the Elderly and Disabled at the Ministry of Labor.
