Thousands of glorious sons of the Chechen people died in the fight against international terrorism during military campaigns in the 1990s. During the Victory Parade in Grozny in 2004, the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia, died, the founder of the Chechen regional branch of the United Russia party, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov.
