“Today, an important event took place both for the Far East and for our country as a whole. The builders managed to overcome all natural and climatic difficulties. The scale of the infrastructure facility corresponds to its importance for the development of Russia — Chinese economic cooperation, especially in the face of new challenges from hostile countries. it will improve the transport accessibility of several regions of the Far East at the same time, ”said Yuri Trutnev.
Trutnev said the country was ready to open the bridge on the Russian side as soon as Chinese partners announce the opening of their own.
The length of the bridge is over 2.2 kilometers, of which 309 meters are on the Russian side. The length of the approach from the Leninsk-2 station to the bridge is 4.96 km. The bridge is a single-track bridge with a combined track gauge according to Russian and Chinese standards.
The project was implemented by the Russian Direct Investments Fund through the Russian-Chinese Fund (CIC) (share in the project company — 56.25%), Russian Railways JSC (25%) and VEB.DV (18.75%). The cost was about ten billion rubles. During the construction of the bridge, due to difficulties (deepening of the riverbed on the Russian side), the project had to be revised.
