Soldiers and employees of the Russian Guard Department of the Chechen Republic held a meeting with students of Grozny School No. 15 A Lesson of Courage, coinciding with the 79th anniversary of the Day of complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade.
The patriotic event was organized by an employee of the scientific department of the Memorial Team. AA Kadyrov Khava Mutzaeva. The speakers talked about the attempts to break the blockade, the courage and steadfastness of the inhabitants of the besieged city, about the heroic deeds of the soldiers who took part in the offensive operation of the Soviet troops in order to liberate Leningrad from the fascist blockade, e.g. who were the natives of the republic.
“No matter how many years pass, for the whole world the feat of veterans will remain a model of courage, resilience, unbending will to win. The historical memory of the older generation and their experiences should be passed on to all subsequent generations. Our people and our country cannot be defeated,» said Captain Ivan Makarov, a soldier of the Territorial Directorate of the Russian Guard.
During the event, children were shown a documentary from which they learned about the lock bread norms, what the bread cards meant at the time, and how people supported each other back then. In addition, the students consolidated their knowledge in the form of a test. At the end, the participants honored the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
