Appropriate structures were involved in adopting the appropriate measures.
The Chechen branch of United Russia organized a discussion on the results of the monitoring of food and basic necessities in the region. It was attended by representatives of departmental ministries, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Civic Chamber of the Chechen Republic and deputies.
Ilyas Istamulov, deputy head of the Party’s Regional Executive Committee for Design Activities, recalled that weekly price monitoring is carried out in the Chechen Republic, in line with the instructions of the head of the government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin in the face of unprecedented sanctions against Russia.
“The United Russia party has worked out changes to the legislation to set maximum selling prices for goods and medicines of social importance. There are also proposals for the maximum volume of wholesale and retail allowances. The changes will prevent any speculative price increases. Now monitoring for all items is carried out weekly — for food and non-food products, medicines. This applies to both prices and availability on shelves. Our main task is to stabilize prices, ”said Ilyas Istamulov.
The situation with the availability of food and basic necessities in the trading enterprises of the region as a whole remains stable, and given the current demand in retail stores, the stock of most food products is sufficient. However, participants in monitoring continued to charge unreasonably high prices for critical products.
The Chief State Inspector of the FAS Russia Department for ChRApti Alimkhanov outlined the main factors that influenced the price increase.
“First of all, it is an increase in logistics costs, an increase in production costs, the cost of the main types of raw materials, an increase in the cost of feed and veterinary drugs, fuels and lubricants, and packaging costs. With regard to processed fruit and vegetables, it was found that the increase in prices resulted from a significant seasonal reduction in the supply of old crops. Despite the fact that the production of plant products is carried out in the territory of the Russian Federation, there is also an import component in the production costs, ”said the specialist.
Regulation of food prices is especially important on the eve of the Uraza-Bayram holiday, says Ismail Elmurzaev, deputy director of the Department of Cooperation with Religious and Public Organizations of the Administration of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic.
«The so-called» free market «remains free even from the summons of conscience. Throughout the Muslim world, before the advent of Eid al-Fitr, it was customary to lower food prices so that all believers could mark the end of the month of fasting. In our country, entrepreneurs, unfortunately, do just the opposite, thinking only of their own benefit — emphasized Ismail Elmurzaev.
The representatives of departments decided to introduce a staged logistics analysis for each type of product. Where resellers artificially inflate prices, measures will be taken to facilitate direct contracts between distributors and producers. It will also organize an audit of the implementation of obligations to reduce mark-ups on goods of socially significant products in shops and supermarkets.
