From January 17 to 21, tactical exercises of mortar batteries of the Administration of the National Guard of the Chechen Republic took place at the training ground of the Burunskoye training center in the Shelkiv region of the Chechen Republic.
The shooting was observed by the deputy head of the Russian Guards Department of the Chechen Republic, Col. Sultan Rashayev and Police Col. Usman Dakayev.
Scouts, advanced observers, secretly occupied command and observation posts, conducted reconnaissance and provided artillery fire. In addition, the issues of mortar battery fire control during artillery preparation and support for troops during reconnaissance and search operations were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the quick change of firing positions after the end of combat missions, as well as the crew’s operation as an independent unit.
At the beginning of the tactical exercise, the battery was to make a march to the area of service and combat tasks. After reaching the designated area, the unit deployed in the field, using its protective and camouflage properties. Later, landmarks were determined, mathematical calculations were carried out, according to which the main calculations were made by shooting. After controlling the fire from the observation post, the remaining crews proceeded to the fire task.
All activities were under the control of representatives of the central apparatus of the National Guard and the North Caucasian District of the National Guard Troops. They provided practical and methodical assistance in organizing and conducting exercises. As a result of the activities carried out, a positive assessment was made.

Sultan Rashayev in his speech.
