«Considering the importance and value of charter programs, having experience in the creation and implementation of a charter tourist product, we set ambitious plans for this year to more than double the number of charter programs — there will be more than 15, and at least three departure cities — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk. Fun & Sun’s deputy general manager explained that last year the company charter flights to seven destinations — Baikal, Sakhalin, Sheregesh, Karelia, Tyumen, Kazan, and Murmansk. “Moreover, in the winter of 2021, we flew to Buryatia in parallel from Moscow and Yekaterinburg. This allowed us, together with our partners, to assess the possibility of accepting tourists from several regions at the same time in order to increase the number of departure cities in the future, to give tourists from different parts of our country the possibility of traveling on charter flights — he added.
Sirchenko said more than 11,000 tourists had benefited from the company’s charters by the end of last year. «We have already received subsidies for most of the programs, this is over 150 million rubles,» said the deputy general director of the tour operator.
The head of the Federal Tourist Agency, Zarina Doguzova, announced at the beginning of May that about ten charter destinations have already been launched in Russia. According to her, almost all federal districts of the Russian Federation are represented in the charter program, and it will expand in the future.
The idea of the charter program is to create comfortable, fully prepared «turnkey» tours, the cost of which is one and a half — twice cheaper than the market. Rostourism subsidizes half of the cost of charter a plane from the federal budget, which makes the charter more affordable for the tourist and more profitable for the tour operator, stressed the head of the department, reports RIA Novosti.
