Earlier, the media reported that the Chechen parliament proposed to change the constitution of the republic and supplement the position of the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov in Chechen — «mekhkan da», — making a mistranslation from Chechen to Russian — «father of the people.» According to Daudov, the expression «mekhkan da» is historically rooted in the population of Chechnya and translated into Russian means the highest official of the republic.
