The «From Hero to Hero» rally was dedicated to the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khaja Kadyrov, the 100th anniversary of the Chechen statehood and the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The official start of the rally began at the «Glory Walk» memorial complex. The event was attended by the deputy head of the Department of the National Guard of the Chechen Republic, Colonel Alexander Krugłow, representatives of social organizations, war veterans, members of Yunarmiya and students of the Military School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was opened with the accompaniment of the Grozny orchestra of the Russian Guard.
“The event has already become a tradition for us on the eve of May 9. Thanks to the care and support of the Head of the Hero Republic of Russia, Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov, and the President of the Regional Public Fund, Aimani Nesievna Kadyrov, we have the opportunity to preserve and pass on to the younger generation the memory of our heroes who gave their lives in the name of a peaceful sky over their heads — said Colonel Alexander Krugłow.
After laying flowers at the monument to the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, the drivers set off on the Grozny-Volgograd-Kumylzhenskaya route. They will visit places of military glory, meet with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of state authorities and the public.
