Thematic lessons-tests are organized by the federal project «Historical Memory» in which students from grades 9-11 compete.
The intellectual game «Who will come to us with the sword», devoted to the centuries-long struggle of Russia with foreign invaders, is held in April in all schools in the country. In the course of historical tests, the history of Russia’s thousand-year opposition to external threats is revealed. According to the organizers of the quiz, no state in history has had to repel enemy aggression so many times: Khazars and Pechenegs, Polovtsians and Mongols, Swedes and Poles, Germans and French, Turks and Japanese. Countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States have also openly fought Russia, whose country has repeatedly found itself on the verge of death.
“But our Homeland — Russia — not only survived this struggle, but also became and remains the largest country in the world. Today our country is facing an external threat once again, which, unfortunately, few people are fully aware of: the aggressive NATO bloc, bypassing all international agreements, has come closer to our borders, threatening the very existence of Russia. However, we remember our glorious history and the brave military traditions of our great ancestors and we are sure that victory will be ours — said Abu Isaev, regional coordinator of the Historical Remembrance Party project, vice-chairman of the Government Committee. In the Chechen Republic, quizzes have already been held in schools in the regions of Grozny, Argun, Shelkovsky, Naterechny, Gudermes, Urus-Martan and Naur. It is planned to organize such events in all 500 educational institutions in the region.
