Sberbank has developed and registered its own software for ATMs in the register of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, the bank’s press service reports.
«The control software (software) for banking devices from Sberbank InterSphere is included in the registry of home software,» the report reads.
Sberbank is the only bank in Russia that has developed and obtained registration of its software for banking devices in the register of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, commented Alexander Viediakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank’s Management Board.
“InterSphere fully manages the network of ATMs and the process of their work with cash, including ATM-recyclers. The software interface of the system transmits data for the dynamic creation of the client interface by external software,” the press service also says.
It was clarified that using InterSphere it is possible to manage not only ATMs, but also the electronic queuing system, electronic cashiers and CDMs. The software runs on various operating systems, including Linux, the bank’s press service reports.
“InterSphere supports 80% of our ATM software and we are excited to bring our product to the market. This will help reduce dependence on foreign suppliers, reduce maintenance costs, and increase the availability and security of the ATM network,” added Vedyakhin.
