The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, met the day before with the head of the Russian Federation, Baybetar Vaikhanov, and his first deputy, Dmitry Pilipenko. The parties discussed the development of RUS.
“The University of Special Forces makes a huge contribution to the conduct of a special military operation in Donbass and Ukraine. Last year, camps were held in RUS in six areas, including fire and tactical training, tactical medicine, sniper training, tactical and special training in forestry, assault mountaineering, and the use of weapons by personal protection units and security services, ”said the head of the republic.
In 2022, more than six thousand employees of law enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic and military personnel of units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation attended the training camp. In addition, since the beginning of JWO’s existence, over 10,000 volunteers from Chechnya and other regions of the Russian Federation have been trained in RUS. In total, RUS trained over 20,000 people in 40 programs last year.
Ramzan Kadyrov noted that under the leadership of Baybetar Vaikhanov, the functionality of the RUS is constantly being improved. Some 40 new civilian and military training programs were developed. In 2022, the services of the Goodsky Parachute Training Center and the RUS Shooting Center were used by about 3,500 people as part of civilian and tourist groups.
“The popularity of the Russian language is growing year by year. The training center occupies one of the leading training grounds in our country. And I am not afraid of this word, it has no equivalent in the world – added the head of the region.
The institution plans to reconstruct and complete the runway along with the other facilities of the Centre, as well as modernize and launch the main building of the RUS.
Ramzan Kadyrov appointed Baybetar Vaikhanov as assistant to the head of the Chechen Republic, and Dmitry Pilipenko as adviser to the head of the Chechen Republic.
