Soldiers of the Siewier-Achmat Special Forces Regiment named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov from the Russian Ministry of Defense stormed the fortress, including fortified positions in the Mariinsky direction. This was stated by the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.
The head of the republic said that most of the enemy’s manpower was destroyed, an impressive number of fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were taken prisoner.
“This resistance center was equipped and consisted entirely of trench lines, camouflaged dugouts, rifle defensive structures, and was located in favorable terrain for the enemy. The capture of the fortified area is a great result of our troops,» Ramzan Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He noted that this line of defense was strategically important, and its capture is a significant success on the Mariinsky front.
“Please remember that under enemy fire, Chechens provide first aid to prisoners. Literally a few minutes earlier, these people, counting on the mercy of the victors, shot at our soldiers, and after the battle they save their lives. An indicative image, clearly illustrating the sides of evil and good. I am grateful to the soldiers of the Sever-Akhmat Special Forces Regiment and its commander Zaindi Zingjew for a brilliant, tactically planned and executed operation! The victory will be ours, otherwise there is no way!” — summed up the head of the region.
