The head of the Chechen Republic congratulated the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, on the Day of the Republic of Crimea, as well as all Crimeans on this important holiday. Ramzan Kadyrov posted a congratulatory message on his page in VKontakte.
The head of the region noted that since the day of reunification with Russia, Crimea and Simferopol have started a new milestone in their history. It was marked by great positive changes in the republic.
“Certainly, the people of the peninsula made the right choice by voting to live as part of Russia. This provided them with the protection of their rights, well-being and prosperity under the protection of our great Motherland,” said the head of the Chechen Republic.
Ramzan Kadyrov thanked Vladimir Putin, who supported the will of the inhabitants of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
“We are sincerely grateful to the President of the Russian Federation, the Supreme Commander, our national leader Vladimir Putin, who supported the will of the peoples of Crimea and Sevastopol. Thanks to his political prudence, wisdom and determination, historical justice triumphed — the peninsula was reunited with Russia. Last year, we witnessed how the citizens of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions followed the worthy example of Crimea and Sevastopol. We fully support their decision and sincerely welcome their return home.
