The leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a post on his Telegram channel in which he curses those who, through culture and faith, try to offend Chechens.
According to Ramzan Kadyrov, «Chechen culture, adats, history and even the motifs of the national instruments «dechig-pondura», «kehat-pondura» and «vota» are inviolable and valuable, which makes us Chechen people.»
“Our faith in Allah Almighty and His Messenger ﷺ is inviolable and precious to us, which makes us Muslims. Anyone who tries to offend us with culture and faith, no matter where he is, no matter whose back he covers, no matter what excuses he justifies — let him be damned! You are the servant of Iblis! We were, are and will be Muslim Chechens!” – wrote the head of the region.
