The government has approved the rules for keeping a unified register of guides and guides in Russia, the document itself will soon be available on the website of the Federal Tourism Agency, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
They believe that «the measure will contribute to the improvement of the quality of tourism services. The decision on the principles of keeping such a register was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, ”reads the press release.
«The decision will improve the quality of tourist services offered and protect citizens from frauds, as well as create a transparent and controlled market for tourist services,» concluded the cabinet’s press service.
Thanks to this initiative, travelers and representatives of the tourism industry will be able to obtain information about guides, city guides and guide-translators working in Russia. In addition, the document will contain information about the regions where they are entitled to provide their services.
It was also clarified that applicants for entry into the register will have to pass a certificate in special committees, informs RIA Novosti.
