This will allow the production of low-ecological cars and without a number of systems unavailable due to sanctions, according to a decree published on the official online information portal of the law.
«Approve the attached rules for applying the mandatory requirements for individual wheeled vehicles and assessing their compliance» — reads the document.
The regulation is valid until February 1, 2023. A corresponding innovation was previously proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to support car manufacturers in the face of sanctions. Currently, many of them have logistical problems with the delivery of car parts.
According to the document, now all environmental standards apply to Russian car manufacturers: from Euro-0 to Euro-5. It is allowed not to equip vehicles with the ERA-GLONASS alarm device — but with retrofitting. In addition, the system may not have an auto-run feature after an accident. «It is allowed not to equip vehicles with an anti-lock braking system» — also states the decree.
The introduction of simplified technical regulations was previously supported by all major domestic manufacturers: Kamaz, AvtoVAZ, Ural, UAZ and GAZ Group. It noted that the measure would help support car production in a country under international sanctions, reports RIA Novosti.
