The document was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
The main goals of the strategy in the social sphere are the construction of schools and new kindergartens that will remove the problem of access to preschool education in the North Caucasus regions, the development of the primary health care system, child health care, high-tech medicine, and solving housing problems.
The agro-industrial complex was selected as one of the driving forces in the development of the North Caucasian Federal District.
“Small and medium-sized farms dominate in the regions of the poviat, with the exception of Stavropol. In line with the strategy, agricultural producers will be offered ready-made models of enterprise development with one package covering agricultural technologies, advisory support and state support measures. In this way, it is planned to take horticulture, sheep breeding, cattle and aquaculture to a new level in the North Caucasian Federal District, ”reads a press release on the official website.
An important direction in the development of the district will be the creation of transport infrastructure. The main project of the strategy in this area is the construction of a motorway connecting North Caucasus resorts with tourist centers on the Black Sea. The reconstruction of the airports in Makhachkala, Nalczyk, Bieslan and Grozny is also planned.
“The strategy assumes that in the next few years the main tourist destinations in the North Caucasian federal district will be the Caucasian Mineral Waters, the Arkhyz, Elbrus, Veduchi, Mamison, Armkhi ski resorts and the Derbent-centered cultural and educational tourism cluster,” according to the government.
The strategy was adopted to replace a similar document that determined the development of the North Caucasus until 2025. The updated version takes into account the economic situation that has developed under the pressure of external sanctions, informs the Press Service of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic.
