The Ministry of Digitization of the Russian Federation is starting the selection of banks to participate in the program of preferential loans for IT companies, according to the Telegram Ministry channel.

The program is implemented under the decree of the President of Russia on support for the IT industry, dated March 2, 2022.» — the message reads.
Successfully selected banks will grant preferential loans to IT companies with interest rates not exceeding 11% per annum.
«The government decree sets the capitalization rate at 11% per annum, but taking into account the reduction in the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, competition from leading banks for participation in the program and the quality of borrowers among IT backbone organizations, we expect the effective rate for the borrower to be significantly lower. , will be around 8% per annum — said Maksut Shadayev, head of the Ministry of Digitization.
At the moment, there are 46 companies from the IT industry on the list. For individual organizations, the available limit of borrowed funds is 10 billion rubles, for a group of companies — 30 billion rubles. «The soft loan may be granted until the end of 2022 for a period of up to 12 months,» the ministry said.
The difference between the market rate and the preferential rate is compensated for banks by the Ministry of Digitization from the budget funds. 3 billion rubles were allocated from the government reserve fund for these purposes. According to preliminary estimates, this will allow companies to issue more than 70 billion rubles in loans in 2022, Shadayev said, reports RIA Novosti.
